Your Electronics Shop

I just launched Your Electronics Shop, the latest of my Amazon sites. This one is using a new version of my Amazon Script that lets me do more customization than the other versions have let me do. Hopefully, that will pay off in the end.

Find Cards & Updates

I upgraded my credit card web site at www.find-cards.com over the weekend. New design, new schema, new site. Much faster than the previous one.

I also set up the search script to work with freekrai.net the weekend, but I haven’t made the link available to people yet. Will be doing that shortly.

Other than that, spent the weekend doing some work for clients and getting the girlfriend’s house ready for winter. Helping out down there kind of makes up for the fact that there are people who get paid to get my house ready for winter.

Also, I’m planning on adding a new section to this blog. I’m gonna set up a recipe category since I also run a cooking site and am a chef. You’ll see some recipes show up very shortly.

Search Script

I finished work on my new site search engine script last night.

This script crawls a web site and then lets people search the pages of that site. It’s pretty cool and fast. Gonna set it up on a couple sites that I own to try it out. I also set it up to be able to create a google sitemap from the links it crawls so it will serve two purposes.

I like having a seperate search engine script instead of building it straight into the scripts because this way, it gets to stay universal through it all.

My plan is to brand it to sell after it gets a good workout on my sites.

Other than that, my overstock script is almost done and the site I’m putting it on is almost ready to go. Just a few kinks to iron out.

On a final note, that mobiTV that came built into my cell phone is pretty cool.

Phones

I got a new cell phone this week. My previous phone was giving me problems for the past year so I decided it was finally time to upgrade.

It’s a Nokia 6620, the last phone was a Motorola v300. Both were camera phones. This new one isn’t a flip phone as half the problems with the other one were related to the switch that says whether it’s open or not.

The new phone does video as well as camera and also has the MobiTV system on it. Pretty interesting, but hard on the battery. There’s also a slot for a memory card. Currently, it has a 30 megabyte card, but I may put a larger card in there if I ever decide to use it for MP3s or something.

Aside from that, the casale ads are doing pretty good on Article Base, and my new Amazon script is almost complete. This one has more features than my other scripts and allow for more customization.

I also registered a new domain today to use for overstock’s affiliate system. Gonna try making some money via them as well. Also gonna finish off my datafeed script and get some more datafeeds online on that site.

Busy, but with a purpose :)
